So I was wondering if I have the flu..or maybe even the swine flu..
Here are my symptoms..
I started having congestion about 2 days ago.. so besides that this is what has happened so far..
- Fever- at first it was 99.9 then it gradually went up to 102.0...this was yesterday but today so far my highest has been 100.2
- Body aches- At first wasn't so bad but then by the end of the day yesterday I ached so bad I could barely move
- I'm tired and don't have a big appetite
- I have a slight sore throat (yesterday morning it was worse, could barely swallow)
- I feel very weak..could barely open up the dryer door this morning (one of those "snaps" shut doors)
All of those symptoms listed above started yesterday and today I'm feeling a little better than yesterday but still not 100% better!
What is it? The Flu? Swine Flu? How do I tell the difference between the two?
I'm on vacation right now so I'm trying to feel better so I don't have to run to the doctor here...
Thanks ladies and sorry I keep posting this..its been FOREVER since I had the flu (well the actual flu not the intestinal flu)
i think it might just be the regular flu or maybe just a nasty cold. I was like that last weekend and it went away after a few days...\
and now im sick again...i dont have a fever this time but the other symptoms are worse...it sucks!
just make sure to drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest...i hope you feel better soon!

swine flu you have to have a fever above 103 and be throwing up and having diarrhea. regular flu you would be throwing up also. I'm pretty sure you just got a cold or something. everyone in my family just got over a nasty stomach bug. Today is the first day we all feel 100% better.

R.I.P. Daddy...miss you 9/7/09
that's not necessarily true. I have had the flu many times and I never threw up..unless i had the stomach flu.

Thanks ladies! I also wondered if my symptoms were from a UTI coming back..and having a nasty cold..
I hope its not the flu but I've NEVER felt this bad with a cold...soo who knows! I just hope I can eat later!
And to all of those who don't feel good today, I hope you start feeling better asap!
Yeah thats what I thought too! I have been around people who have had just the regular flu and they never thrown up. Now the stomach flu..UGHHHH that is so horrible!
I also think that when you have the regular flu and throw up its because you have postnasal drip that is causing mucus on your stomach..or maybe because of something you ate..
