My aunts mother is on so many medications, they have to lock it up away from her.

Everytime you are around her she seems so out of it.

She was standing in the kitchen eating a roll with a cup of water, dipping it in it then licking her fingers.

If somebody would talk about something, she would overtalk that person about nonsense.

I was talking about being allergic to eggs and about feeling like im choking if i ate them and she said "you know what was making me choke?"

and  my uncle (her son in law) whispered to my dh "probably because she was drunk!" lol

Its sad, but she got on my nerves so bad.

After my grandmothers funeral a few years ago, we were having a dinner. she sat across from my dh, said something to him while in the process of spitting food in his face.

Well, thats my story of my family nut. anybody else got one in theirs? lol

That's why I skipped my grandmothers! Lol. Dads house is alcohol free!
My grandmom is a drunk. She tells all her doctors she doesn't drink, but she does and mixes her meds with alcohol! Not a good thing!
The first time, after being married 3 years DH ever saw her sober, he thought she was sick or something! Drunk is her normal!
When I lived with her when I was a teenager, she used to drink and take Ambien! She would wake me up almost every night to get her pizza, Dairy Queen or something else! And accuse me of stealing the money from her purse the next day, lol!

If they get that way in my home then someone takes them home. I had to grow in a house full of drunks and I refuse to let my kids be subject to it. (Not bashing) Drunk ppl do get on your nerves, and they never know it. It's so sad. I'm sorry you had to put up with that momma.

My kids, who are 11 & 12, kept asking what was wrong with her.

I know she has a problem, but it gets on my nerves.

I'm harsh on things like this because in my situation I was the kid and my parents were the drunks. It used to make me so sick to smell alcohol. Got on my nerves so bad when they tried to discipline me and ended up spitting in my face while slurring words. Yeah, I know. It puts a damper on any day.
