Okay so about 1/2 hour ago I noticed a kind of stinging sensation on the side of my wrist...If I rub over it or touch it on something it feels like needles...And now the 2" area is also warm to the touch. It doesn't look like it swollen at all.....It's just kind of stinging and warm. What the heck is going on?!?!
warm usually signals an infection....do you notice any sort of bite marks or anything near the area?
It's hard to tell. Can you make the hithchiking symbol? If you can, does it hurt to do so? If it does, it could be dequervain's tenosynovitis. It could also be carpal tunnel.
Quoting ArmyWifey4907:
I do have carpal tunnel from the years of waitressing I've done, but I haven't had a flare up in about 2 years.
No bite marks or anything. I'm not allergic to anything. I can still use my wrist/hand like normal.
I just saw your siggy , I didn't realize you were pregnant. With my second pregnancy, my whole hand would randomly tingle at times! I don't remember it feeling hot to the touch, but definitely the pins and needles feeling...
