ohhh the smell

what do u do when your family member has to many cats, i mean say 8-10 ....but they have had more at one time

and she wont stop adding to them ..and the house smells...i mean they take care of the boxes and the cats are healthy and they are all fixed...but the ammonia smell ...its so hard going over there esp now where i am prego

i dont want to hurt her feelings and i hint it all the time ..esp on how much money they would save if they didnt have vet bills and cat food bills etc...

i mean in a way i feel its not my business cause its not my life or house...but i care so much for this person ....what do u do or say i dont wantt o hurt feelings

Are you sure it's ammonia and not cat pee?  I think they smell similar... I'd guess that the cat's are fighting over territory being that crowded and have been driven to "spraying".  They don't do that typically unless they're overcrowded.

You shouldn't be around that many cats or litter boxes if you're pregnant anyway.... you may want to use that as a big hint!

Cat pee has ammonia in it... that's where the stink comes from...

do they still spray if they are all fixed
