When do you stop referring to your child's age in weeks and start using months?

how about months to  years?

just curious...

before i had a child i always thought it was odd when people said oh, he/she is 12 months. why not just say a year?

then, i realized it sounds stupid saying my child is one year and so many months, its just easier to say 13 months, or 18 months.

I think when dd hits two i will say 2, instead of 24 months.

My children were only weeks at three weeks or under..at four they became a month. They continued to be months until they hit a year then they were one. I never understood the oh my child is twelve month thing..made no sense to me.

She just turned 2 but when it is 2 and 1 month, I will say 25 months.
