Im 37 weeks prego, 3 cm dialated, 30% effaced. I have BH contractions a lot and last night I almost though it was the real thing because they were coming regular for about an hour. Anyways, my dads dog has been around for about 3 years. i love this dog. She part palmeranin (sp lol) and part beagal... So not a big dog at all, we go to my dads just about everyday and spend at least 1 or 2 hours there. Brownie (dog) loves us gets excited to see us gets petted then goes away.... until these last two days. The last two days I have went over there she has not left my side the entire time I was there. Even climbed up into my lap today and fell asleep which she never does to anyone but my dad. Ive heard people say that dogs can sense things, so what Im asking is do you think maybe she is sensing that I might go into labor soon?! I know I could be just bein silly but seriously has anyone ever experienced anything close to this?puppy

I dont know...

I do know that dogs can sense when you are pregnant. My dog became extremely protective of my belly when I was pregnant...she didn't like it when anyone touched me.

when my son would kick, my dog would push her nose against my belly...it was the funniest thing ever...

I know it sounds weird, but yes dogs can sense impending labor.  My Maggie before she died was always following me around.  Plus after my sons were born she abandoned me lol and laid by their door every night.

I think they can.  Dogs have been shown to know a lot of things are going to happen before we do cause they can detect (how every they do it) the changes that are going on in our bodies.

Ive always wondered how dogs know the things they know... Like bad people... or ghosts.... and in some cases pregnancy... Dogs are amazing

Dogs know. My dog that got stolen was SUPER protective of pregnant ladies and babies. He slept under my first sons crib. When I was pregnant both times he was by my side, I even had to take him out to town with me when I went because he wouldn't go in the house unless I did.
