ladies, what is the best fat burning exercise for a beginner, other than walking... its too cold to take my baby out and i would have to, hubby works all the time....  I know around the holidays isnt the typical time to start dieting and such... but this is the time... i do NOT want to look like this anymore... since i had my son and quit my job... i have TOTALLY let myself go...

I run up and down my stairs a lot, and I use an ab lounge(which only work if you use them right!!)

Just get some workout DVDS. They have some 10-minute ones at Wal-Mart that are only like $10. Leslie Sansone has the Walk Away The Pounds DVDs that are actually great if you don't like hard workout videos but you still want results.

24 year old, God loving, non-vaxing, tutu making WAH momma to Jenelle, Gracelynn, and Sapphire. Girlfriend to Rachel (not wife, because apparently some people are AGAINST two loving, consenting adults marrying).

Sorry thought of some more

Also, how old is your little one, I used to(and plan on starting to again when life gets back in order) dance with my little girl for half an hour twice a day, like all sorts of crazy stuff, works great.   Even when she was too little to dance, it made her giggle.

I also love the exercise balls, you can do a lot with those, and if you have Directv they have Fit channel that has workout shows on all day long...

Do you have a wall you can do push ups against?  also you can use milk jugs (filled with water or sand after milk is gone) as weights.  Lay on floor and do lifts with baby or do lunges holding baby out in front of you .  Of course not a newly born baby for the holding out in front LOL.  DD loved to sit on my legs and i would lift them.

Cardio and healthy eating!

Do you have access to fitness TV or exercise on demand? Or can you purchase any workout DVDS? There are some kick a$$ ones out there right now, and they aren't the "old school" aerobics stuff most people think of.

Jillian Michaels 30 day shred
Jari Love-any of her "ripped" series - both are awesome workouts!

But half the battle is watching what you put into your mouth.  Make small  steps to make a LIFESTYLE change...diets don't work long term!

good for you for wanting to do this for yourself!

Check out Work it out sexy momma on cafemom....the BEST working out getting healthy group on here!  They have challenges going on ALL the time, and usually the excercies don't require anything but you and maybe some handweights.

Google some stuff. I have a video and if I could figure out how to send it to you I would. I do squats and lunges and stuff like that. If you know how to send the video and tell me I will download it and send it. I just started doing it but it is painful!!!LOL!!! It is really easy and doesn't hurt till the next day. It is so awesome, in the fact that it is easy and doesn't feel like you are working out and only takes about 20-40 min. but you feel it the next day. My DDs love to "workout" with mommy. They do what the the lady on the video does. LOL
