So im trying to figure out which one to get.. The HANDHELD version of these. The Leapfrog2, or Vsmile cyber pocket..

Which one would be better entertainment and learning for my 5 yr old?

Anyone have any suggestions on these? -other than price.

i would go with the leapfrog if it was me, we had a vsmile console and the stupid thing broke within a few months, we have one of the first handheld leapfrogs and it still works like a champ..the leapfrogs can be thrown across the room and still work...lol

DS loves his leapster!!  He got it for christmas last year and it's one of the only toys that he still plays with.

Definitely the Leapfrop.  My son has the Vsmile and it has been nothing but headaches.  We had to return it a couple times and it is very touchy.  Both the regular one and the handheld.  I just said the other day that I wish I would have went with the leapfrog. I think that is the reason they have lowered the price so much since we got ours.

We are getting the v-smile one. We already have the regular v-smile so we have lots of games for it. Our v-smile is 2 years old and still works, it does have a few issues, but the kids still love it.

I'd go for the Leapster.  We have one Leapster and a V-Smile; and while the V-Smile is a year younger(my almost 3 year old got it when he potty trained back in Feb) is a year newer than the Leapster; it is already on the fritz.  It constantly just stops working; which REALLY sucked on the overseas flight earlier this week.  LOL

We are actually debating replacing the V-Smile with another Leapster for him for his b-day the end of December.
