Don't get me wrong-the parade was a blast! The crowd was HUGE and we couldn't see anything other than the balloons in the air.. DF and I couldn't  see the firefighters or bands or anything that was happening on the ground.. We heard everything that was going on from Emily (DF's daughter)  since she was sitting on DF's shoulders and could see lol!! And ohh gosh if you can imagine a HUGE crowd having to split up onto both sides of the road for an ambulance to get through.. Which we had to do twice!.. I mean once the ambulance got through us everybody stampeded and pushed their way (even through children) to get to the front.. Which was the worst part.. A bunch of adults crying and moaning that they lost their spot and yelling to the police "we can't f-ing go anywhere dumb-a**" while somebody is in an ambulance in need of help was annoying! I just can't see why adults can't control themselves I guess.. Other than that - it was a great time! And we got the reaction we hoped for from Emily in the end which was "that was funnnn!!!" so it made everything worth it! But honestly from the "adult view".. You can see wayyyyy more watching it on T.V. and poor DF is soooo sore from holding 43 pound Emily for 3 hours on his shoulders poor guy lol! (I've been having major problems with my lower back so I couldn't hold her for to long) We expierienced it once and will have the pictures to help us remember forever that we spent Turkey day 2009 in NY!! I love NY and going there is always a good time!
