So my friend told me i was wierd because when i make my DD pick up her toys at night, everything goes in a specific spot...like her dishes go in one container, her play food in another, her shapes in the bucket they came in, the legoes in the bus they came in, etc....does anyone else do that?

Oh and it unnerves me if i cant find one of her shapes (like we couldnt the other day urgh)

I just call that being organized, lol.

I hate it when the toy/game cabinet is messy.

I agree with the PP, you are just organized... and teaching your daughter good habits.

I do that too.  DSs cars go in one place, his geotrax in another, etc

I agree, its being organized... then again DH frequently calls me neurotic for my cleaning and other habits lol

Growing up my mother would say "Everything has a place and everything IN it's place."  Meaning you put things where they belonged.  I do the same thing.  I want thing put back while maybe not in a specific spot I do think my son's lego's need to go back in his lego box, puzzles go on the puzzle shelf, books on the book shelf, etc.

LOL How is that weird? You are teaching her to clean up after herself and to be organized! Sounds good to me!

Its funny because my kids toys are the only thing im overly organized about...i mean, in my kitchen things do have thier own place, but i can go 2 or 3 days without doing dishes and stuff
