Pierced Nipples! (PIOG)

I gotta question! Um, I have nipple rings that I've had over a year. I'm 16 weeks and I'm debating on taking them out b/c they are making my nipples so sensitive (mostly b/c I hit them on everything, lol). But I REALLY,REALLY, REALLY don't want to take them out! I've heard that its ok to leave them in... but I really don't know for sure. ... What you you do?

Take them out, they shouldnt close up if you have had them for a year and if you dont plan on breastfeeding then you can put them back on after baby is born and if you do plan on nursing if they close up just have them redone.

im sure you can leave it in just like a belly ring...i left my belly ring in until i was about 4-5 months then took it out (dumb i should have done it sooner cause it stretched the hole) but i think the only issue would be that it hurts you. especially being pregnant when your breasts and nipples are sensitive anyways...i would say its your choice...

I'm not sure if they are ok to leave in. I would be afraid it could cause contractions since nipple stimulation can cause contractions, but I seriously don't know so heres a bump!

I want to try to BF, I couldn't do it long with my son I was starting to dry up for some reason. But I wanted to with this one... I know I'll take them out for that... I don't want to keep them out for long b/c I don't want to have redo them... it was kinda painful, lol.

I had mine done for over a year before I got pregnant.  I was going to leave them in and my doctor said it was ok to.  They itched so bad that I took them out.  I couldnt get them back in after I had my daughter.

Not always true! mine closed after more then 2 yrs.

op maybe try finding smaller jewelery or a retainer that won't bump or get caught on stuff as much?

I left mine in throughout both pregnancies.Never took them out cause I didn't want to have to get them done again. If you are going to BF then you will have to take them out anyways. So it's really up to you. Good Luck!!

ETA* I also changed from rings to a barbell sine it didn't hit as much!!
