HE WON'T STOP CRYING!

So my DS#2 was never "diagnosed" with colic when he was a baby, he never cried for hours straight BUT he would cry randomly for no reason and honestly still does to this day (he is now 2 1/2). I know its bad but we call him our fussy child because our other two, never do this. Our son 'K' will fuss for NO reason and will fuss all the damn time now!

Like right now, he is fussing..no reason..just at my feet crying, he woke up from a nap, came out and layed at my feet and is just crying!

There is nothing wrong with him and whenever I ask him what, or whats wrong..he cries harder and usually fusses while he tries to talk so you can't understand him. =(

But its like he cries 15 times a day where my other 2 children only cry 3 or 4 times a day!

I really don't know what to do! I love this boy to death but he drives me bonkers with this fussing! If he doesn't get his way, he fusses, if you yell at him, he cries..fights with his brother, he fusses...AND then after he is all done fussing he is such a happy, smiley child you just can't help but smother him in kisses =) lol

Anyone else have this problem? What do you do? Can they have colic at 2 years old? Do they grow out of it?!

I know its bad but a lot of people get "annoyed" with him because he fusses so much. Its hard to take him to the store, or een to people's houses because he is so sensitive!

*sigh* Thanks mommasfrustrated

By that age he definitely would have outgrown colic, most do before a year old...

I'm not really sure what it could be =/ but here's a *bump* and hoping someone else might know for you.

my kids both had colic as infants. They would cry for hours for no reason, each day/night. It was awful. My daughter is almost 3, and now just has the normal meltdowns. When she was younger--she would just walk around and fuss/cry. It was awful, but it was her way of communicating. She stopped that at around 18-20 months or so. My son is the same way now. Im hoping he stops it soon like she did, but yes, its very annoying and sometimes we walk on eggshells so he's not just walking around crying.

At 2.5 i would say maybe the dr's could run some tests on him?

Well he was really babied when he was LITTLE little, like under 6 months old. But now he isn't as much, maybe he has middle child syndrome? LOL (no offense to anyone)..

I'm pretty sure he isn't teething because he is ALWAYS like this, and what kind of tests would they run on him??

As far as everything else goes, he is up to date with everything and acts like a normal 2 year old...besides the crying

Thanks, I thought they outgrew colic but in our son's case he hasn't stopped being "fussy". Maybe he is just feeling that middle child thing?

I'm not sure about testing. Maybe there is actually something medically wrong with him? Or it could be some type of other thing. I dont know many symptoms of things like autism or anything, but maybe its something along those lines? Or maybe the terrible 2's/3's are just really taking a toll on him?

=( see thats what I was afraid of...

But normally he tells us if something is wrong, wouldn't he just be able to tell us, or at least wouldn't we have figured it out by now?

you know, they discovered colic in the 6 th century... and to this day, are not 100% percent sure of the exact cause. sometimes it appears to be the result of reflux.. sometimes crones.. sometimes celiac.

so..  you need to bring him to a "gastro"  for some upper g.i. tests to see if he is having an upper or even lower gastric disturbance.
