Okay. Today was the day!
Did you get up early? Did everyone behave themselves? Did you find what you hoped to? What else did you buy?
Hubby and I were up at 4 am. and hit WalMart first. We missed the laptops but I got a Nintendo DS LIte for me in pink! I've wanted one for so long! We had to wait for an hour in line, but they gave us a ticket to assure that we got one that was in stock in the color we wanted. That will be my birthday gift...so I have to wait!
Here's our finds:
A Cabbage Patch doll for a baby cousins first christas:)
A 19'TV, a portable DVD player, a BB Gun, a new office chair (which I am sitting in and in love with) and a desk and hutch for each child.
I found that with the door open early at WalMart, I missed what I really wanted (a laptop) but there was no stampede and everyone was calm and behaving themselves. There were also officers all over the place! I noticed people weren't fighting or having a "me first" attitude. That was wonderful! We went with the attitude that it's Christmas, we're celebrating Christs birth, and we really don't need to have anything!
We hit WalMart, Office Depot, Target, Toys R Us and the mall. We found our best deals at WallyWorld and Office Depot. Toys R Us was a mad house! I couldn't wait to leave!
How was your day...did you enjoy yourself? Did everyone behave? Did you get something you wanted?
I bought everything except for one gift for DH. I got my four children's presents, my sister, her fiance, her daughter, my uncle, his boyfriend and my SIL's gifts. I also got 9stockings the stocking candy, wrapping paper, gift tags and tape. I do all of my Christmas shopping usually in one day. I don't even plan what I'm getting for most everyone until I see the sale adds. It works out well for us.
I just went on oldnavy.com and bought some clothes for my kids...got some jeans for $10 each. And some Gap sweaters (for myself) for $20 each.
I'm waiting till Cyber Monday to checkout my Amazon shopping cart...hoping for some good deals on that!

i had heard walmart had to stay open overnight because that person got trampled last year but i dont know if that is true, ours in 24 hours so that could be a factor.... idk... we didnt shop today. we decorated the house which was suprisingly unfun! what a shame. ds is 4 and wanted to hang all the ordiments in the same place and was offended when we moved them around... dh was obsessed with fixing the unlighting strand on our prelit tree... worked on it for like 2 hrs.... while we waited and waited to decorate it... could have caused ds' issues... oh well. i love the holidays not matter what demons they might stir up.
What do you mean get up early? I didn't go to sleep. I left my house at 11:30pm and got home from shopping at 1:30pm.

I, too was very impressed with how everyone acted this year! There was orderly lines and most places it really didn't take too long to get through the checkouts! I got everything I wanted to get except a Bakugan set from Target, but I'm gonna try to go online and see if they have it one there, because it was not a door buster.
OMG! You are a dedicated mommy! Here (passes trophy) you really deserve this!
I was lucky and stumbled on them back in mid-October when she started her letter to Santa. I was lucky, but now the little crazy girl doesn't want them! I'm not taking them back...she might change her mind and I'd be sorry!
Hope your little one's face on Christmas is as bright as the tree!
Quoting HawaiianRain04:I got the freaking Zhu Zhu hamsters! 5 of them luckily and the car, slide and house! I waited in line for 3 hours for the doors to open to Toys~R~Us at midnight!!! I hope that toy company is HAPPY! LOL
