if you were born in washington dc can you be president?
do you have to be born in a state or can it be a district or territory?

I think you just have to be a citizen born in the U.S. lol I would assume that means Washington DC not sure about territories

Washington DC isnt a state, its the district of Columbia.. It is a district between Md and Va..

She isn't saying DC is a STATE...but it is in the United States, and if you are born there you are born a citizen of the United States...what an odd question this post is...

I won't be mean to you because you always make me laugh.
So, yes, someone born in D.C. can be president.
It's okay. I once believed that if you honked at an armadillo in the road, they could jump up and go through your windshield. ;-)
I didnt say it WAS a state. I have always known it to be IN Maryland which IS a state. My uncle lived right outside it for a few years.
