Hi moms i need some help my son is 5 1/2 years for the past week he has been having accedents (poop & pee ) i have taking him to the emergancy room wed night we were there for over 6 hours they did blood work,x-rays & CT. came back normal. Im at a loss has anyone had there child go through this. Now i thought this was happening because at school on monday my son fell on his stomach when playing on monkey bars thats why i took him in to the ER
My daughter is 4 years old and has accidents as well. I kept taking her to the pediatrician and asking them what is wrong. I finally took it upon myself to take her to a specialist. When we went to the urologist they did an ultrasound and a KUB and found that she has bladder spasms. So she is now on a daily medication to help it out and she is like a completly different kid. She was completly potty trained and did great for a long time. Then it was like overnight all these problems started. From the time it started until we got a diagnoses was over a year and countless doctor appointments later...not to mention all the copays.
I would take him to a urologist and see what they say. They specialize in this sort of stuff. If there is an injury they will find it. If there is a problem they will find it. I wish you luck and hope you can get this solved. I know our situation was long and very painful. Keep us updated.

Quoting myfoursonsks:oh sorry, I read it wrong and thought you said something about 5 1/2 weeks...
I would say that there is something more likely emotional/mental going on than physical.
Im thinking it might have something to do with his school.

How old is he? He's 5 1/2
That is what I am thinking too. Either he is being bullied or teased or something else at school is causing him some unusual stress and he is regressing.

Have you talked to his teacher?
