Victoria's Secrets- False Advertising

I did some shopping today. VS had buy one, get one 50% off on all bras unless they were 2-for-$30 bras, or one of the VS Pink lines.

I picked up one of the new bras that's supposed to make your boobs look 2 sizes bigger, and then another bra I needed. As a  Black Friday incentive, they said that if you spend $60, you get a tote bag "filled with goodies, valued at $65" so good deal, right?

I got to the counter and the new bra was not on sale. No sign excluding it, just dumb looks from multiple cashiers that "it's a new line of course its not on sale" even though one girl in the dressing room told us it was, as well as the huge "ALL bras buy one, get one 50%" signs around the store. I ended up getting a different one instead so that I could get the tote bag.

I get the bag and leave the store. I look in the tote that should be "filled with goodies" as stated by the advertisement I got from them in the mail a week or two prior. Inside the tote bag was 4 things. A $10 coupon off a $35 beauty purchase, a sample size love spell lotion, sample perfume, and a lip gloss.

I returned everything to the store, and cannot see myself shopping there any time soon. They were very misleading in their advertising both before and during the Black Friday sale.

Our stores said in small print under sales sign...not including the new bra (not exact wording). What was wrong with the free goodie bag???

shop the catalog...i use to work there and the customer service in the store is shit...the catalog treats their customers much much better. around this time of year they always have free gift with purchase and free shipping..you can use multiple promo codes on one order.

I shop at fredricks of Hollywood. They are more ..er... "porn starish" lol... but I never have an issue with the service... 

VS is full of stuck up snobs if you ask me... at least in my VS anyway...

I would have demanded they give me the bra I wanted for the sale price since the dressing room lady said they were on sale... "customer is always right"

the free goodie bag was said, in an advertisement, to be worth $65

inside were 3 small samples and a coupon. Put the samples together and I'd say they would have sold for maybe $10, and then the $10 coupon, leaving the ugly vinyl tote to be worth $45.

I read every sign I saw in the store and they all said "ALL bras" except for one, which mentioned part of the VS Pink line. I was told that the only other exclusions were the 2-for-$30 bras. I told the cashier that and she pretty much acted like I was stupid to think that a new line would be on sale.

I just wrote the company an e-mail, I wonder what they will respond with.

they sent me an email that basically said "thank you for your concern. comments from our customers help us improve the company. we'll forward this to somebody in this section of the company...."

yeah, they wont do anything about it.

totally agree. plus, i can't ever find my size at VS, and when i walk in i get dirty looks from the girls working there. well, i'm sorry you're not a 34 DD you jealous bitch, but could ya stop glaring at me like that since i am a paying customer? lol

I like their products but their customer service is one reason I wouldn't shop there.

Well, it is pretty common knowledge that at VS the "newest" line is rarely on sale. And the signs always say so...granted, you usually have to look really close to see it..lol.  As for the gift bag, more than likely the bag was "valued" at $65...if you include the bag AND the stuff inside...so i don't really see false advertising here.
