Anyone else think the way they did it this yr was stupid?
Not sure if all the stores did it the same way but here where I live you had to be there by 1 am and they give you a ticket for ONE item you wanted then you had to stand in THAT items line till 5am only being allowed to leave the line for 15 mins for a bathroom brake. Each item had its own line,so if you wanted more then 1 big ticket item you had to bring a friend or family to stand in the other line to get the other item you wanted.
To me this was very lame, you could not shop you HAD to stay in line the whole 5 hrs I can not image how much money they lost with all those ppl in the store not being able to shop around and get other things they wanted. THEN if there was a item you wanted that you could not purchase till 5 am you could not even put it in your cart until they unwrapped it at 5.
I hope they dont do this again next you AND I had to stand in line 1 hr before I got to cash out.It was crazy.

I didn't go...there was another mom on here saying something about that earlier tonight. Sounds stupid to me.
well I went to walmart and I didnt see a problem with it its not any different then standing out side a store for hours waiting for it to open

DH said that's the way it was done here. A coworker of his went. She said they had a computer that was usually $500 on sell for $300. They gave out too many tickets for it. They sold all of them before 3 people got up to get theirs, and those 3 people got the next model up for that price, since it was Wal Mart's fault for giving out too many tickets.
Unfortunately, that's what happens when the majority of a large group of people act like baboons on crack over that "gotta have" item.....they've got to do something to try and stop people from getting injured and killed.
I hope this made sense. I have a bad sinus cold and my brain is kind of muddled. lol
Well if it wasnt for idiotic people they wouldnt have done it that way. they were doing it for safety considering last year there was a walmart employee who was trampled over and killed last year when the doors had opened.

I just read the 1 a.m. part it wasn't that extreme where I live

Considering what happened last year and having my mom work there. I think it's a great idea. I mean if you really want the item then you gotta wait. Besides the people here in the wal-marts in san diego can't behave themselves and they need that type of order!
Yeah the Wal-mart I went to did that too except the workers were so crazy they left stuff opened and not attended so people busted it open and got what they wanted. I thought they should have made a line, then hand out a ticket in the order the people came in so they could go on to the other line to get a ticket for the other items and be able to shop around until time came to turn your tickets in to get the merchandise it would have been alot easier and no one would have gotten hurt but when everyone else got what they wanted by busting into the boxes my husband was helping himself to so I got everything I wanted except the track suits for 3.00 but that's okay I got lots of other stuff.

I didnt even go Black Friday shopping.
There were no good deals at all. Not compared to the original price. Ive been following the orginal price and the deals for 2 weeks.
The only thing I got was online - 10 dollars for blu ray discs. So I just got 5 blu ray DVDs. And I didnt even buy them. One of my friends bought them for me because he is a shopaholic. lmao!
But i think they were looking out for the safety of the costumers.
I went into ToysRUs/BabiesRUs just to get diaper wipes and omg The store was packed with rude people.
