Does anyone invest in the stock market?  Outside of a 401K, if you have one?

If you do, what stocks do you like?  I've got money in Hasbro and they seem to be doing quite well recently.

My Dad buys mutual funds, but i'm still not quite sure how they work.

I have shares in Anadarko petroleum.  I'm not sure how it all works. My grandmother bought them for all her grandchildren.
