If you own one. What name brand of over-the-range microwave do you have?
I need some help here. My microwave crapped out on me and I need to buy another one before Christmas. I am looking for a reasonablly priced one that has a good track record for reliablity and for lasting for a good amount of time. The one that broke is a Kenmore Elite and it was not worth the money we paid for it and we have had nothing but problems out of all the Kenmore appliances that we have purchased. Could you ladies tell me what you have and possibly tell me if you are pleased with it or not.

Mine is a GE and had been in the house for about 5 years. I don't have any complaints.
ours is a kenmore..we just got our kitchen redone i said i wanted one with no frills..maybe get the regulat one.we have always got kenmore products and never had a problem.out of curiosity i just went into the kitchen and looked.ya there all kenmore.i dont like the dishwasher its smaller than our other one.and i didnt get a side by side refrigerator i had one before and hated it.it was to small.
We bought all Kenmore Elite appliances back in 2001 and we have had nothing but problems out of them! The microwave was recalled so for the first 3 months that I owned it I could not use it and then the dishwasher after 3 years broke...the motor and pump literally cracked in half and our extended warrenty had just run out a few days before this happened. We fought with Sears and we ended up getting a new one at half price just as long as we bought another Kenmore dishwasher. We ended up buying the dishwasher and only paying 350 for it. It is one that was made by Bosch to be sold under the Kenmore name. The stove we bought was an 1800 dollar stove (we got it for half price as an end of the year clearance) and it broke on us after 4 years...I was irked to say the least. It cost us 300 dollars to fix it but it was still cheaper to fix it instead of replacing it.
