ok like my bagillionth post tonight. i SHOULD have just lumped all my christmas questions into one post LOL but i forgot about this one =]
Would you send a christmas card to a relative in prison? a photo card.
Background. my younger brother is in max security juvie. No idea why. I sent him a letter a few months back and never heard from him. We have WAY too many cards and i was thinking of sending him one. we aren't close, but we were talking for a bit.. now its nothing but hey, what can ya do.
dh isnt too fond of the idea, since the photos are of our child. he thinks its a risk to his safety? paranoid of someone in there whos underage yet a child molester may get his rocks off or something. OR my brother may piss someone off and they will take it out on family... even though HES in IN and we're in AL...
i personally think hes watched too many crazy movies, but i need others opinions =]

yep. no way do I want my kids' pictures plastered on the inside of any level of jail or prison, adult or juvenile.
Quoting Not.So.Virginal:
generic card? yes... photo card? no
No way would I send a picture of my children to a prison/juvenile facility. My dad is a cop and he's made me super paranoid about stuff like that.
I don't see why not.....my son was born while my 2 brothers were in jail, so when he was a couple months old, I sent them both a picture of him. I never thought twice about it, and nothing ever happened. They kept his picture with the rest of their mail--it's not like it was pinned on the wall for all to see.
