Making our own christmas decorations this year!
I thought it would be really fun to make our decorations this year. We are getting a real tree this year and I thought it would be perfect to have alot of hand made stuff on it. I already baked a few salt dough ornaments in the shape of trees and ginger bread men for the girls to paint and decorate. I am also going to make up some more salt dough and press their hands in it and press our 1 month old's hands and feet in it for a keepsake ornament. I have to get some paint, glitter, and maybe some beads and ribbon for the ornaments. I think we will also do some paper ring garlands too. Anybody else doing this?

No, but I am stealing your idea about the hand prints. Those will make great grandparent gifts.
My Stepdaughter and I made dough ornaments for our small trees all over the house last year(we had bear/moose/outdoorsy decor) She had a blast painting them, my little one kept trying to eat them cuz she thought they were cookies lol
We made a few this year also! Some to hand out to relatives but some for our tree. The kids had so much fun doing it! Here's some that we did....
We did wreaths with macaroni and I put their pics in them....

And snowflakes and stars with popsicle sticks

We used to make the paper chains. Or string popcorn. I used to have bunchs of sites for that but, don't remember where I put them
