First, I'm new here, so hi everyone. We were at our family's Thanksgiving dinner and everyone went outside to take pictures. My baby has a ton of dark hair that has gorgeous highlights when she's in the sun. So, I brushed her hair back with my fingers and there as plain as day was two gray hairs! At first I thought it was just the sun reflecting off of it, but nope it was gray. My SIL saw them, too. How weird is that?! Someone please tell me why an infant has gray hair. Thanks all!

I just found a gray hair on my 3 year old's head.

I started crying because I started going gray at the age of 22. here I am 5 years later and I can just barely cover my gray hairs up. I feel like I passed them down to her and I'm really broken up about it. LOL SO silly, but I feel horrible.

Its not technically "grey" hair, its called a pigment. Its just a spot of hair that is alot lighter than the rest of the hair , my cousin has it ...we think its makes him "unique" lol

I would google it ....it may help you find out more info!

My one sister that is 11 months older than me has jet black hair but when she pulls her hair back she has a streak of hair about an inch wide that is completely "gray". Like OP said the doctor says it is a pigment. She could die it but whats the point, it make her unique that not many have it.

its just a patch of hair that doesnt have color pigment, its normal, and your lil one might have their whole life, its unique tho!
