did your doctor do an ultrasound the first appointment to make sure you were correct about the date?? My first appointment is tomarrow..and I'm 10 weeks..I'm wondering if he will do an ultrasound to make sure...

They may schedule you for one. It all depends on your Doc. I had my first US in the ER, If it wasnt for that one I would have had to wait until i was in my 20th week.

My nurse told me before my Dr came in that if i wanted an ultrasound to tell them I wasn't sure how far a long i was. If I was sure on my dates they weren't going to do one until 20 weeks.

With my daughter and son I got an ultrasound done at 12 weeks to make sure the date was correct and with this one I am just going for my first ultrasound on Wednesday and if the date is correct I almost 16 weeks,it was suppose to be arranged sooner but was not.

I think it all depends on the dr/hospital.  With DS, I had my first U/S at 8 weeks (which was my 2nd appt).

With this one, I had an U/S at 7 weeks in the ER, but we're not at a civilian hospital anymore (DH is Army), and I've heard I won't have an U/S til about 20 weeks.
