My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed today.  The doctor said his adenoids were covering 90% of his nasal passage ways and his tonsils were covering 80% of his throat!!  Imagine that, my son has only been breathing 30% of a normal person.  Its ridicolous because I cant even begin to tell you how many doctors told me his tonsils were a normal size!  Im so happy it is taken care of now!

Goes to show you you can't always trust what a doctor says. Glad everything finally got figured out and he's doing better now! How long was he like that?

Yay for good dr's & now he can sleep & breath without a problem.I know what you mean...my 9y/o needs hers removed, her tonsils are so huge, it's not even funny. She also has sleep apnea, it kills me. He's your son real skinny? Mine is.

R.I.P. Daddy...miss you 9/7/09

I hope the surgery went well, and that he recovers fast. My DS(4yrs) just had his tonsils and adenoids taken out last yr. because he had sleep apnea, and the ENT said his were also that bad...:(
