What is wrong with my body??? TMI...and a 2 for 1...

 Ok...for the past 6 days I've sort of been spotting. But not normal spotting...just kinda there when I wipe, and it's not red it's brown. Which I guess that can be normal..I've always said that it's just like "old blood" from my last period. But then this morning I wake up and it's like a waterfall. Went through 2 tampons in 2 hours and there was one big clot in the toilet. But still all brown! Now by tonight, everything has stopped. Completely. There's nothing. WTH???

I know someone is going to ask me if it's possible that I am (or God forbid was) pregnant...and I don't know. I mean I guess I could be. I have sex...duh...I'm not on the pill cause I can't take hormones but we use condoms and non oxynol 9 gel every time. So to me that's double protection...Does it sound normal to you?? I've had my period for 15 years now and this has never happened before. Oh, and it's not time for my period either...that's not til the 12th...like clockwork...

And the 2nd part of my vent is that I am beginning to hate fall. It used to be my favorite season but really, what's to like about it?? It starts to get cold, football season sucks lately, it's flu season and everyone is always sick, and everyone dies. Seriously, everyone that I know that's died has died in October / November / December. So far I found out my brother's dad died in November and now tonight we found out my fiance's good friend died Monday of a brain embolism. :(

It makes me nervous because they always come in 3's. And my mother is getting on a plane in the morning going to Savannah, GA....Please pray that she makes it there and back safe and sound. You would have to put me in a straight jacket if something happened to her....

First-I love your avatar!! My DH says the same thing.  We love to watch House.

Now, I am unsure about your age...I know women in their 30s can sometimes have funny periods as they get toward a menopausal age.  My mom started having weird periods in her early 40s.  Not quite the same as you are describing, but, odd bleeding and at odd times. 

There is always a possibility of miscarriage if you are having sex, but, with it being brown/old blood, thats not my first inclination.  If you are extremely worried, call your doctor.  Otherwise, just wait for your next period and see if its normal?
