Another Abortion Post!! ***EDIT***

Am I the only one that is furious that they want to use our tax dollars to pay for elective abortions?! Abortions that are needed for the mother's safety or rape I can handle but elective!?! How many women are going to stop using BC completely and count on getting a free abortion? So now our taxes are going to be raised just to pay for these! Why can't they pass out free birth control? Stop the problem at the source not when it already becomes a problem! I have yet to hear anyone defend these free abortions so if you do please let me know the other side of the arguement because I just can't seem to understand why I have to pay because women don't use BC!!! And if you agree with me then please go the webcast this Tuesday night where they will be trying to find ways to get this out of the bill! Regardless if your prolife or prochoice I'm sure you don't want your taxes paying for other women's ELECTIVE abortions!!

EDIT

I should have made myself clearer. I meant not all BC but go without condoms..believe me....I know several women that would love to have sex without condoms and already do and they just beg off welfare. As I was reading the other side of the story it makes some sense. Paying for an abortion is cheaper than foodstamps and mediciad for life. But wouldn't it be better to pass out IUDs? I know IUDs are meant for people in marriages but why? Do they lose their effect? I am not Christian so this is not moral thing for me. I just don't like how we have to pay for women's bad desicions. So if we allow abortions to be federally funded does this mean the cost for medicaid and welfare will go down because less mothers will have babies? And if so why are our taxes going to go up because of this funding for abortion? I appreciate the others coming forward with the other side of the story but please be nice because I have yet to be rude to you so please don't bash me....I'm just trying to understand.

**BREAKING NEWS** The U.S. Senate just defeated the
Nelson-Hatch amendment which would have blocked the
government from paying for abortions in the health
care reform bill.

Despite the fact that most Americans do NOT want our
government to pay for abortions with their money, the
Senate caved in to pressure from Planned Parenthood
and abortion industry lobbyists.

The Senate health care reform bill -- which is on the
verge of being passed into law -- would result in a
MASSIVE government-funded bailout of the abortion
industry and the largest expansion of abortion since
Roe v. Wade!

To respond swiftly to this crisis, the 70+ pro-life
and pro-family organizations that make up the Stop
the Abortion Mandate Coalition are joining together

Sorry. NOT enraged. and honestly, you need to get out of other peoples uterus'. their body their choice

I wear no uniforms, no blues or army greens. But I am in the military in the ranks rarely seen I have no rank upon my shoulders, salutes I do not give. But the military world is the place where I live. I'm not in the chain of command, orders I do not get. But my husband is the one who does, this I cannot forget. I'm not the one who fires the weapon, who puts my life on the line. But my job is just as tough. I'm the one that's left behind. My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man, And the call to serve his country, not all can understand. Behind the lines I see the things needed to keep this country free. My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do our kids and me. I love the man I married. Patriotism is his life. But I stand among the silent ranks known as the military wife.

I'm pissed about it too.  And there's not a damn thing I can do about it b/c they take my taxes directly out of my check, if not, I would refuse to pay them.

That's fine, but not when they're getting into my pocket to clean out their uterus...
