Baby clothes

What size clothes should I buy to bring to the hospital? 0-3 mo. or Newborn? My first son was in preemie clothes at first so I'm not sure what the average size newborn can wear. I'm just afraid to buy newborn outfits and have a big 9 lb. baby that can't wear them... but then if 0-3 is too big I have to send DH out to the PX last minute to buy smaller clothes lol

i would buy one outfit of each and then if your baby does not fit into the newborn set you can always return it.

You'll want Newborn.  0-3 months usually starts at around 8lbs, if I remember correctly.  Newborn starts at 5lbs, I think.

 Preemie and NB size.  Most full term babies even at 7 and 8 pounds wear a preemie home.  0-3 months will most likely be way too big unless your baby is a good 10 pounder lol.

i would think newborn.   my son was 6 weeks early and was 6.5 lbs...  so he was to big for premie clothes, but 0-3 mos were a tad big....  newborn clothes fit perfectly.

Thank you ladies! I don't plan to have a 10lb baby lol I'll go get some newborns at least for the hospital and I'll buy some 0-3 anyway since he/she will grow into it.

Both of my babies were small I brought a newborn outfit and an 0-3.... I wish I had of brought a preemie and an 0-3....that way my bases are covered :-)

Yeah dont get to many newborn clothes they do not last long.  And 0-3 months there in for a few months

I would go with Newborn. My boys weighed 8lbs. 13oz. and 8lbs. 12oz. at birth and Newborn clothes were still a little big on them.

My son was almost 9 lbs and 0-3 months were still kinda big on him so I would definitley go with newborn size. But dont buy to many newborn size outfits (or diapers) because they grow super quick!!!
