Ok I have never used a ear thermometer, when you get the reading are u supposed to add a degree take one away or just leave it the same. I took my sons and his is 99.5. He feels very feverish and I was just wondering what the actual reading is.

The ear one I'm not sure about.  We put our thermometer under the arm, which then we have to add 1 degree.  Did it come with instructions?  Maybe it will tell you.  Good luck and I hope your son feels better!
