I met an angel this morning!

My alternator died this morning on the way to work.

Good:  it was at a stop sign on a bit of an incline and I was able to drift it into a parking space in front of the Islamic Center.

Good:  only 2.5 blocks from work

Bad:  there was a meter

Worse:  I only had 2 quarters.

Wonderful:  a lady dropping her child off at the Islamic Day School gave me all of her change to put in the meter and wouldn't let me give her any paper money in exchange.

I am always amazed at how the Bible, that portrays my Lord embracing the outcasts, touching the lepers, welcoming the Samaritans, not judging the woman taken in the act of adultery, and inviting 'all of ye,' not 'some of ye,' to 'come unto me,' can, in the hands of a few distorted people be turned into a book of hatred, violence and judgment."  J.S. "30 yrs married"....I'm reading it to mean she's been married 30 years....not that she's 30 years old.....

30 years married, not 30 year, married.  Note the comma in the second wording.
