My mom applied in Oct and was just approved "medically" two weeks ago, but that's really unheard of to be approved that fast. She had a stroke last May that left her, legally blind and she also has seizures now. Along with other problems with her blood.

I had to go through a few appeals to get mine (this was several years ago, I haven't been on it in a long time) and I had to get legal aid to help me.

Depends on the situation. Some people are approved quickly, some take  forevert and some get denied and have to reapply.

I don't really remember. I do know that it took me almost a year from the time I applied to see a judge.
