So i was in an accident in november and my dd's carseat got damaged..She had the first years tru fit convertible car seat and i LOVE this car seat soooo much!! But now the women who hit me her insurance company said i can buy any car seat i want and they will pay for it so i'm going to take advantage of this!! my dd will be 2 in april she weighs 30lbs and she is very tall..i don't know for sure how tall but she is very tall.. Now i'm looking for a car seat that will harness her for a VERY long time...as long as possible!! I do not erf so i'm not interested in info on that or car seats that do that. So if anyone has any nice and good car seats and would like to share with me please do!!!

If you love the True Fit and your daughter is still rear facing, you could get the True Fit Premier... it has an anti-rebound bar, which is a nice added safety feature.  It is on sale for $189.99 here:

and if the code JAN2010 still works, it takes an additional 17% off, making it about $157.70

The true fit has one of the tallest shells out there, so you could get another or scrounge around for a Britax Regent.

That definitely looks like a Regent to me.  It's a forward facing only seat, so if you're ERFing it's not a good choice, but great for EH.

If your not going to rearface I would look at the Britax Frontier.  It has a good tall shell and the turns into one of the best boosters on the market.

I'm Jessi, 28 year old SAHM to one crazy three year old Austin, currently harnessed in a Britax Frontier.  I'm a Child Passanger Safety Technician (CPST).  We only get one chance in a motor vehicle accidents, the decisions you make can save your childs life.  To find out more follow me here.

i don't erf but i do want to harness my dd for as long as i can...hopefully until she is 8 and out of a carseat lol. Do you know much about this car seat? do you have to rethread to adjust the straps or just move up a bar like on the tru fit?

Der!  I just saw that you are not ERFing.  It's been one of those days/weeks!  In that case, the Britax Regent would be a good choice, or the Sunshine Kids Radian 80SL or XTSL, or the Britax Frontier.
