The Tooth Fairy--the going rate?

IF you do the tooth fairy with your children, what is the going rate for teeth?

I would say like a dollar, but maybe older kids would get like 5 bucks.

I think it varies with most people.  We give the boys $5 for the first tooth lost and $1 per tooth after that.  The tooth fairy leaves them $1 gold coins or "fairy money", which they can trade in to us for paper money.

my dd just lost her 3rd tooth last week, the tooth fairy leaves $5 a tooth at our house, I have a friend that's tooth fairy does a dollar a tooth at her house but once her son lost a tooth while staying the night at grandma's house and the tooth fairy left a $20 so now he wants to loose all his teeth over there

last tooth she lost she got 20 bucks. dnt know what she gonna get for the one thats coming out next, I just give her whatever I feel like giving her and my sister too.

We do $3 per tooth at our house.....jeamanie! $5 bucks...that's a lot! LOL....
