okay So DH is in the army.... well I was thinking about getting my CNA's. Where I live there is a health center that does CNA licesnes for $395 (you have to pay for state testing) well that includes the course your books and scrubs.... its a total of 20 hours in class and 20 hours at home studying... is it worth it and does every base have a hospital on it?

Call around to some nursing homes. Alot of them do the classes for free.

Not all bases have hospitals, but if they don't there will be one off base that you could work at. Check with your local education office. You might be able to get the classes for a lot cheaper or free if you go through them.

I am not a CNA, but I am military.

Getting your CNA is pretty easy. and there's always job opening (atleast here) for CNAs. Mostly in nursing homes. and if you do go through a nursing home to get it...be aware that they may require you to work there for a certain amount of time. Good Luck!

I don't know much about this stuff but my mom just got her CNA license. It's a great opening to MANY different careers in the health care industry. Good luck!

Nurses do make more money. But its longer schooling.

In IL, it takes 3 semesters. Atleast where I'm at! Through community college.
