My dad has been having some major health issues lately (he already has had a couple of strokes and heart attacks a few years ago) and yesterday he went to the dr. and they told him he had to have an emergency heart cath done this morning first thing when his regular dr. got back into town. So now he is at the hospital and my mom is sitting there in the waiting area (the procedure should start here in about 5 minutes) and I know that there is something going on. In his last heart cath 3 years ago there was already some blockages starting to show but he was at his maximum capacity for heart stints, if they find them today he will have to have open heart bypass surgery and this is what happend to my grandmother just 4 months before my dad's first heart attack and she died on the table. She was really close. Now I am sitting here at home worring and I know my mom is going crazy with worry and I can't even be there because I don't have a babysitter for my 3 year old and they hospital has a children ban on (no visiting children under the age of 17 due to H1N1 unless someone is for sure dying). Ugh I am going crazy here.
So my mom just called and the dr. just talked to her and said they didn't see any new blockages, great news, but he does have to see a pulmanologist next because they still can't figure out why his oxygen levels have been so low and why he has been so tired and can't hardly function normally anymore, but like i said the good news is that his heart is doing great!
