Would you agree to this amount for watching a newborn?

I have a lady that is wanting me to watch her 6 wk old for her Mon-Fri from 8 am to 2 pm.  She said she only wants to pay me $10-$15 a day.  I was thinking more like $25 a day.  What do you think?  What should I tell her?

I'd say $15 to $20. I mean its only 6 hrs. And if she is providing everything ........

Depends on what child care cost are in your area.

The rule of thumb...around here at least is you pay about 20-25% less than you would pay a daycare center if you are taking your child to someone elses home  and providing the formula/breast milk and diapers/wipes.

I definitely don't think asking $25/day is too much.

Smaller babies come w/ a lot more responsibility than children who are older. I would think you should at least be getting min. wage per hour

I would do it even for ten but of course 15 would be better. There is not much u gotta do with a newborn.

Thats a bit on the cheap side, I would only do that for a close friend. Thats about $2 an hour, will it be worth it to you?

I have been watching a now 3 month old since he was 3 weeks old, I watch him from about 6:30pm to about 2:30am... I get $20 a day because of what time it is. If it was during day time hours I would gladly accept $15 a day.
