So many times, people say that those in the Gay community CHOSE to be gay, that they weren't born that way.

Personally, I was born straight. I HAVE had moments when I questioned my sexuality, but I know that I am straight. I fully believe that we are born with our sexual preference.

I was born this way.  I don't even think we really have control over who we fall for, let alone their sex.  Logically my husband and I are completely incompatible (we've actually taken a compatibility test as well) but we've been going stong almost 10 years.

I am bisexual. I knew from a very young age that I was different than other people.  We are born with it the same way we are born with green eyes and brown hair and freckles.

I was born with my being attracted to the sex that I'm attracted to.

I have tried to be attracted "to the other side" before in the past. Just to see if I was, or if I could be. Didn't do any good. I just wasn't attracted to them.

I can only say. My sexual preferance is NOT a choice. I am the way I am. I was born that way. And nothing can change it.. I could CHOOSE not to act on my sexual preferance. But that wouldn't really change what my preferance is now would it.. I just wouldn't be acting on it.

Here’s my honest to God opinion on the matter.  Do I know if people choose to be gay or straight?  No, I don’t.  But, I do know that people choose the manner in which they conduct yourself.  I do not need to know that you are gay.  I do not need to know that you are straight.  I do not need to see how far you can stick your tongue down your same or opposite sex partner.  I honestly don’t care.

If you’re gay and you put yourself out there openly that you are gay, you’re going to get a little heat.  That’s just the way it goes.  Is it right?  No, but that’s the way it is.

So, I’ll end this with, I don’t know if you choose what you are.  I certainly don’t think many people would chose to be gay.  However, I believe that gay and straight people alike choose their lifestyle and behavior.

I believe we are born with our sexual preference.  The ONLY choice involved is whether to be honest with yourself about it.  Many homosexuals chose to live a lie, and lived as hetero.

Knowing how badly gays are treated, talked about, and discriminated against, I jus don't believe that they have a CHOICE to be gay or not.  If they could choose, I can't imagine they would choose to live a life in which they are second, no fourth class citizens.

The craziest thing about this debate is, we don't have to GUESS what caused gay people to be gay, we can just ask them.. Guess what?  We have asked them and they told us, they were born that way.

we r very much born with it. we don't chosse what the sex of our partner is. if it was something we choose we would not start showing who we will become when we r younger. my df and i have been going stroug for 8 years now. but u know what i also like girls.i think they r hot.hehe

Ok my opinion on this is.. mixed.. I do believe some(whatever the % is I do not know) are born gay. Same as I believe some are born more male or female, but not have that gender. Then again I believe that some are not born that way but later in life change their preference.

Like my cousin, she got pregnant and married the father, her 2nd pregnancy. She had only been with men. Then she got married and so many years into their marriage they started experimenting with having other women. Before long she left her husband for the other woman and she is now living an active gay life. She was with her husband for like 10 years. Now she is only with women.

Though my skin is white, I am a woman of many colors.
