Tax refund and RAL question

We got the 8-15 day anticipation loan. The "where's my refund" tool said it was deposited yesterday. But it hasn't been posted to our account. The bank told us if they had received it, it would have been posted midnight friday, and they had no deposit for us. I know the tax people had the right account since we already got our state refund. But yesterday was the 15th day, and now they say it won't be deposited until at least next friday. So can I call the tax prep people about this? I mean, we paid $300 to get it in 8-15 days, and now it's going to be at least 3 weeks.. We bought a car with a "promise to pay" and we were using the refund to pay for it. Now they're calling wanting the money and we don't have the refund!

I was thinking the same thing. I filed my taxes on-line for free, and I had the money within 2 weeks. GL OP!

I did my taxes myself on the 15th and got state back 3 days later and Fed back 10 days later,,,,so thats dumb they charged you 300 for a "rapid Refund" I didnt pay anything,,,

They must of typed the wrong account #, so it got deposited in someone elses account...I worked at a bank and that happened alot.

It takes alot of time to fix it, so that sucks if thats what happened!

Call the tax place and demand your $300 back because you just got ripped off.

Depending on your total annual gross, you can find programs to do your taxes and e-file.  I just did mine Thursday, and I should be getting it a week from this coming Friday, if not sooner.  I had friends who e-filed just a week ago and got their money yesterday.

Did you check "Available Balance"?   My available balance is always higher when our pay is deposited because the bank doesn't update until Monday morning.  But the money is always available Friday morning.

DEMAND A REFUND!!  Rapid refunds are rip offs and "prey"on the ones that need the money the most.  If you e-file online, it takes 7 to 10 days to have your refund direct deposited.  FOR FREE!

oh and a news station here did a investigation thing saying that there were a LOT of complaints being filed because ppl were paying for anticipation loans and then weren't getting them for 3 weeks even though they were suppose to come in two because of the tighter restrictions the banks have and I also saw that Jackson hewitt I believe was in the middle of switching banks so that could be the problem as well, i agree with the other ladies though I would deff call and ask for a refund of the money you paid although they probably won't give it all or maybe even any of it back to you!

When you have the money deposited in 8-15 days thats not a RAL. Thats a RAC. A RAL takes 2-3 days. Did you apply for one and get turned down? IF that happened then it goes to the 8-15 days. And the 300 dollars might have been your tax prep fees. Where did you file?

You didn't get a ral. You probabyly got an assisted refund where the fees come out of the tax refund. The $300 is probably you tax prep fee. Look at your reciept closer. If it does say ral though you were not approved and won't have to pay the extra ral fee,.
