I just want to see if anyone else agrees with me on this, because I am furious. Its snowing outside...has been for 2 days...can barely keep up with shoveling and roads are slick with limited visabilty. There are 129 schools..public, private, vocational, and colleges closed surrounding my kids school. My kids school didnt even call school off nor did they run it an hour or 2 late!! To me this is ridiculous!! Obviously the safety our the children is not what they are concerned about...heaven forbid they should have to work a cpl extra days this summer. The man who is in charge makes me mad...what do you think ppl? Whether with me or against me give me some opinions.
That is rediculous. I would keep my kids home. What are a few absences going to do?

I'd keep my kids home. When the last storm came through OK there where areas of the state without power for three or 4 days. I had a friend who was staying with her mom in the next town because they didn't have power and they where having school on the third day. They had a generator set up and had heat in two class rooms. STUPID. Yeah, her kids stayed home, well they stayed at grandma's.
Our schools never close! Then again I live in MN and we are very used to this weather! The only places that every run 2 hours late are like in the far out country, then the busses just have to wait for plows! Where do you live?
