What have you bought with your refund?
( this is to be a fun post, bragging) I think we all deserve a little bragging time. I know alot of us have had a rough year and we all deserve to have alittle some new and some fun!
With us, we don't have any debt, ours went into savings. We did pay off our only credit card, and I got to buy a new camera, a new blu- ray dvd player. The one dvd players I had was like 10 years old and it went out on me....Than my modem and router went out so I had to go buy a new one of those...Than I got a new family Wii game and the new Harry Potter movie. My husband also bought himself a new laptop. His old one died on him. Well he bought it in 03 and it has gone through 4 deployments and made it back.....it was about time it was laid to rest! he deserved a new computer. Just hope he can use it in Haiti while he is there! Anyway that is what we did with some of our refund. The rest went into savings accounts.
No refund, since I'm retired.
We get ours on Friday. We are going to get the kids a swingset, dh wants a new radio or computer tower. He is not sure yet. I want a new radio for my IPOD touch. My old one does not support the touch. And the rest is going into savings. Either to pay me a car later (we have one car and dh has it all day) or to repair the deck this summer. We are also going to see monster trucks this weekend.
We're applying $3000 of it to a loan that has been KILLING us for several years...24.9% interest. NEVER borrow from Beneficial....
$1000 will go into savings. I have a sister who is not well and we're gonna take a road trip to Louisiana to see her.
$1300 will go to MUCH needed clothes... Hubby is 6'4" and his work clothes are expensive, dress shirts and extra long ties are about 40 bucks a piece. Of course, the girls and I will be getting stuff too. This is the first year that my husband will get stuff before the kids. Every other year he insists that we buy for them, then he gets what he can with what's leftover. This year the girls said, "NOPE! Daddy goes first this time."
Nothing fun yet.. have a root canal and Crown that will suck up ( at least) 1,000 after my insurance !
We haven't gotten ours yet, but it WAS going to go to new couches...
now a part of it is going toward my hubby's vasectomy. They doubled their price from the last time we talked to the doctor about it. Then the rest will be saved for my new couches....
Havent got it yet but it is going to a much needed trip to see my sister and her family. I miss them terribly! We are paying off a small balance on our credit card and the rest is going in savings.
