Okay ladies...I've posted about this before and really had no responses. I thought I'd try one more time...someone has to have a inclincation of what might be going on.
I have a very large lump/mass on my throat. I noticed it bout 2 months ago, went to the doctor, had thyroid testing done and an ultrasound performed. It is NOT my thyroid or parathyroid.
It is, however, irregular/thick tissue surrounding one of my salivary glands. The lump is getting larger and larger and is only on one side. I do have an appointment with an ENT in March, but was wondering if anyone knew what it might be?
no clue... I would think the tyroid, but that's been ruled out.
Bump for help.
Me either...when I looked up salivary glands...it implies it can be a blockage, infection, or tumors. This is nuts! I'm not too worried right now because I called my dentist who I just saw. He said he's 99% sure there is no blockage because there would be pain then infection.
Ugh......I hate waiting....and this lump!
I'd of bet money it was my thyroid.
Cyst on your salivary gland? That's the best I can come up with.
my younger brother had that happen it ended up being an infection in the salivatory glands he went on antibiotics for 2 weeks and it went down. now I'm not saying that's what you have just letting you know what i think it could be the doctor told my mom that it is very uncommon and usually gets over looked. good luck i hope you find out what it is.
