Ok so we did our taxes lastnight and went to efile them like always. Well we bought a house so we get the 1st time home buyers credit. Then a box popped up and told us that the irs won't let people efile if they get the 1st time home buyers credit. Has anyone else had this happen? We really wanted to get our refund quick so we can get our new windows installed and remodel our bathroom. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had it happen to them?
We had that happen last year, so we went to HR Block. We still got our return back in about 2 wks so it wasn't bad, just cost more to file.
we just went to h and r block and we could not e file because of the first time home buyer then want prove you did buy the house when you did so you can get the money back but we have to mail out the paper ourselfs.
