I let my DD play hooky from school yesterday and now she gets a snow day today (and, more than likely, tomorrow, too)! I LOVE WINTER!

We had a pretty exhausting weekend, so I let her sleep in and stay home from school. It didn't start snowing until late last night...and we will definitely be playing in the snow today! :)

I live in the midwest...funny thing is, we have gotten WAY more snow than this (it didn't start snowing until 9 p.m. and it's not even THAT much, lol) and school wasn't cancelled! My DD's school district installed a new automated message send-out for cancellations...it looks like they're really taking advantage of it! :)
I am hoping for a good snow day for me (in college). Its coming down pretty good and my car is leaking anti-freeze so I need the day off so DF can see if he can find the leak. I probably won't find out until 1pm though :( All the school districts in 4 countries around me are closed.

I'm in Michigan and we haven't gotten enough snow for a snow day yet either!! I would love one.
Fooey on you... I was praying to the snow day gods that we would have a snow day today... (I'm a college student and have a lil' catching up to do on some assignments).... booooooooo for everyone else that has a snow day except for my county in Ohio!!! I swear... my county is always the LAST ones to call for a snow day!!!
