OK here's the deal I've got 2 job offers......and i don't know what 1 2 pick!
Job 1) Surgical Services Assistant, full time, $10/hour, benefits, job security 30 min drive
Job 2) Diet Tech at the heath department(WIC)(this is what i went 2 school 4) temporary(not sure how temp) could possibly become permanent,full-time, no benefits(unless i get on as perm),$16.09/hour, 30min drive, might travel 2 different offices through the day(comped 4 gas though)
hmmm...i would say the diet tech...but do you have potential for a promotion if you are a surgical assistant?
that is tough.....I might go with the job you went to school for.....you would have a really good foot in the door with your education and you might like it better.....sounds fun to me:)

In this economy, I would go for the full time surgical servies assistant. I would rather have stable job with good job security and full time benefits and make a little less. It sounds like they would both even out in the long run. Good luck!!
I agree!

If it were me I would take job 2. It is what you went to school for. I know it isn't permanant but if you work hard they may want to keep you on, and even if you don't get offered a permanent position, it is experience to put on your resume, and it is much easier to get a job with experience than with none.
For me...I would pick 2...but I don't NEED a job...so I would take the risk for the better job.
