Go ahead, share yours!

At my old job, I tagged along for a birthday luncheon. I was cross training in another dept and work took a girl out for her birthday. The waiter spilled about 10 cups of water and tea down my back. Everyone got a really good laugh at of it on my expense. Unfortunately, we walked from work so I was very self conscious walking down the street in gray pants.

There were six of us eating at our favorite steak house Texas Roadhouse. My twins were just starting to use booster seats. As soon as our food was sat in front of us, one of my twins started projectile vomiting into everyones food. OMG, it was so gross. It was everywhere, the waiter even pulled the seat cushion out and the vomit was under there!

When i went to america for a week with college we went to new york and two of my friends and i went to TGI Fridays one night. But, we had to be back at the hotel by 11. We were already running late so we ordered fast but my friends were very laid back. I was freaking out. The waiter gave us our food and i yelled at my friend "GET A FUCKING MOVE ON!" But the waiter thought i was yelling at him as he he was walking back to the kitchen. He then very quickly ran off. Like i had threatened him. I apologised when he came out and told him i wasn;t talking to him. And my friends just found it funny.

We left him a 3 cent tip. Heehee. we also found that very funny.

  • I had just gotten hired as a manager at Del Taco in Mesa, AZ. It was literally my second day on the job. One of the huge downsides was that all of my employees were mexican... and other than speaking a few phrases in spanish, I could not communicate with them. I worked 3rd shift, 9pm-5am. The store I worked at was the only one that had the dining room open 24 hours, and it was right across the street from the bars, that usually stopped serving around 2am. Thats when we would get a small rush. I dont know what was so special about November 2nd 2006(which happened to be my anniversary with my at-the-time fiance)... but we got packed.

And by packed I mean a never ending line at the drive through, the dining room was full, and the line to the cashier (me) was out the door and around the building. It was only me, 2 cooks and a drive through worker that night. Luckily, my boyfriend had stopped by to catch me on a break... for about 3 hours I was non-stop taking orders and giving them out, dealing with drunken assholes. If my boyfriend hadnt been there to stop the guys from jumping over the counter, we probably wouldve been robbed. There was a fight in the dining room- I called the cops, but couldnt even talk to them I was so busy. The cooks were amazing and kept up with every order we had.

So it was nearing 5am, and I was waiting for my relief, the other manager to come in. I waited... waited.. and waited... I called the other managers to come in.. nobody picked up their phones. Even the owner of the stores who hired me didnt pick up his phone. I waited until noon when a manager FINALLY came in. I had worked for 15 HOURS!! I was exhausted and pissed. This was totally not worth 7.25/hr. I stuck it out for 2 more days working there until I got my first paycheck and quit. I love Del Taco food, hated working there.

I burned my arm on a hot plate. They carried it out wearing potholders and set it in front of my 9mo. I used my napkin to move it but accidently burned my arm. They didn't apologize and actually charged us too much for our food.

Why is that so funny to you? I find it tacky and rude as an owner of a restaurant, if there was no reason for it that is pretty raunchy

my dh likes regular milk in his coffee. one time he asked the girl for milk (they serve it in mini-carafes) - she stuck her finger in it to test if it was cold and served it to my dh.

it was gross..dh spoke to manager and had us moved to another waitress' area

Raunchy? You think it was sexy?

It's funny because we didn't even mean to. We just chucked some chaage on the table and left. We usually wouldn't have even done that. We're bristish. We only tip if the service is amazing. You see our country doesn't count tips as wages. Waiters and waitress's get paid properly over here. Which is why it isn't customery over here. Nobody ever expects a tip. And besides, i was 17. How much money do really think i had at my disposal to take with me to new york and give to wait staff?
