So I have seen a bunch of accidents before. They are ussually in the response phase.

Last night I was on my way to the store and traffic was slow so I went around the slow lane. In the intersection was a guy in motorcycle gear writhing in the street with his jacket soaked in blood. a ways away was his bike on its side next to a rav4 with the front end sheered off. The driver of the rav4 was standing over the biker begging him to stop rolling (he was in shock). DH had us pull over and he called 911.

It was really freaky.

No. I do not like motorcycle. neither does does my husband.

When i was in high school, my boyfriend came to my house on a motorcycle and wanted to take me me out.  my mom would not let me go.

Yes I would allow my children to ride.  My parents are avid riders, as is my uncle and a dear friend of mine.

Everything has a risk, motorcycles, cars, airplanes, walking....everything.

I don't really *want* my son riding because it scares me so much ... but would I let him.. Yes. My dad rode my whole life growing up...my little brother rides too.. As a PP said, there is a risk in every thing. I would rather teach him bike safety from a younger age, than he go show off with his buddies later in life not knowing anything.

Motorcycles are scary .... it doesn't matter how good of a driver u are its the other ppl u have to watch for as well. My brother in law lost his arm in a motorcycle accident. He was 28 when it happened :( He got a shit load of $$$ cuz he sued UPS < thats who hit him > but no amt of $$$ can replace a limb !!! My fiance and my kids ride dirtbikes but thats different ... yea I still get nervous but nothin' like w/ road bikes.

I hate to say it but its usually the motorists fault. YOu can be an excellent rider but if someone is being an idiot driver you could get killed.

I used to get mad at bikes because they acted like idiots....but if I hit a car Im going to cause serious body damage.....if i hit a bike, I am going to cause serious bodily damage and I may kill they guy.

my parents ride, i ride when I can and DD has been on a motorcycle but not ridden. She has a healthy fear of them.

I can't say no cause I ride and so do my parents. We might only let her ride w my dad and not friends when she gets older. But I don't see why not

Not as long as they're under my roof.  No way, no how!

I HATE motorcycles. My dad rides a cruiser (larger bike for road travel) and my older brother has the same. My other brother has a street bike (crotch rocket as we call it) and I hate them! My DH wants both, and I said no way. I have had 2 friends die on these stupid things and it is just terrible. One from acting up on his and one from being hit by a drunk driver.

I rode a motorcycle when I was younger and so did my DH.  We took classes and got our license.  I would want her to do the same thing if she wants to ride a bike.
