I am looking for the obituary of a classmate and dear friend of my DH. He passed away in July of '06 maybe August and he passed in La. but his family is from Tx. so not sure which state the obit would be since he was married. His name was Ryan Erter and he was born in 1980 I believe. I am no good at searching the internet and have been looking all morning. My school has decided to do a memorium for all students and teachers who have passed and I need the info. Thanks so much for any info you ladies can come up with.

Was he a diver?

I found this...Still looking for the obituary.

Ryan Erter Date: August 2nd 2006
Location: VR 250 Depth:
No formal reports are available yet. Diver Erter apparently died in the deck chamber after recompression for suspected DCS following a normally executed dive to approximately 150 FSW. Erter's employer has released no information regarding the accident and the diving community awaits the reports from the Coast Guard and the MMS.

I would think the obit would be in the city that he & his family were living in, at the time of his passing.

His full name is Ryan Ashley Erter and he grew up in Azle, Tx but married and worked and died in La. not sure which city though(he was a rescue diver there). I don't know his bday and cant ask DH until I talk to him again. I recieved the phone call that he had passed in the summer of '06 but don't remember the exact date but I do know it was July or August. Sorry this is the only info I know.I really appreciate you trying to help. And I know he was either born in 1980 or 1981 because he was my age. Thanks again!

OMG I am pretty sure this is him. It has to be since he was a diver and died from complications from a dive. You ladies are GREAT!!
