I wanted to do this program to be an STNA. The program would have offered job placement. I cannot afford to pay for it myself, so I had to apply for something called WIA funding to pay for it. As far as I know it's the only funding they take. So I called the people I needed to to apply for it, and they are all out of money and won't have any more money to help anyone until July. I can be put on a waiting list, but July is the earliest I can get this money to go.
It's depressing as I have been out of work for the last 8 months or so. I have been trying to look for a job with no luck so when I found this I thought it would be something I'd like to do that would guarentee me a job.
Back to the drawing board for now...I'll keep looking for work until I can get this money..wish me luck.
I hate the economy.
That is a nursing assistant right? I am not good with acronyms lol.
Call around to nursing homes, ALOT of them do free classes then you have a chance to have a job with them. When my DH took them they paid HIM. Of course that was 10 years ago.
Good luck!!

Good Luck! I hope you get the money. July isnt too far off.
Yea it is...There are a few where i live that do this. I agree. Call around and ask them.
