My 3 y/o demon child just sabotaged me, ERR! lol
I sat him down with a snack and put the cartoon of his request on, and told him that I had to make a very important phone call. He said "what kind of phone call?" in an innocent little voice, I told him it was a very important call for a job that mommy might get, he said "ok I will sit and watch my cartoons till you're done". Great right!? I go to my room and close the door, half way through my call my son is screaming at the top of his lungs "MAMA MAMA! I NEED YOU MAMA!" when I was finished I came out and asked him what was so important, he said in a very calm voice "nothing, I just wanted you". ARE YOU SERIOUS??! He got time out for 5 minutes lol but I know he didn't learn his lesson. He really doesn't want me to go back to work. Every time DH and I are talking about me finding a job, Gavin says "but I thought you didn't have to work anymore and you could stay home with me??" It's sad, but what can ya do?
Let him know that you need to work for those snacks and cartoons. And so that he can go to school one day, and make new friends. You and he will be brave and have special good times once you're both home after school and work.

My boys seems to ONLY want me or something from me when I am on the phone lol. I remember my mom always saying "do you see this thing attached to my face... I am on the phone!!" I find myself saying the same thing *sigh*::bowing head in defeat... I am starting to act like my mother:: lol
lol he didn't get time out because he wanted me, he got time out because he acted like a fool while I was on the phone when he know's better. And thanks for the luck, they actually called me back and I have the interview tomorrow at 11:30. Front office admin at a cosmetic dentisty office, could be interesting?

I would say that's pretty funny but it's really NOT funny when my kids do it lol so I feel your pain. Good luck with the job mama:)
