I work at Grocery store and about 2 hours into my 6 hour shift I had to pee. My supervisor at the time said to wait until we werent so busy but that I am not getting a break so dont even bother asking. The contract says if you work 4 or more hours in a shift HAVE to have a break. I said to her it was unfair that she was letting people who go to work AFTER me go on break and I didnt even ask I just asked if I could go to the bathroom. So 2 hours later my bladder is hurting badly and I tell her I need to go and I have 10 more coustomers in my line and will take care of them and then go back. She SCREAMS at me and tells me she is going to write me up and get me fired. I finish with my coustomers and go to the bathroom I push the bathroom door open and I hear 'CHRISTINA BACK TO YOUR REGISITER NOW!!!!' I was gone so far for 1 minute. I thankfully ran into the store manager in the bathroom and I was bawling my eyes out because I was on the verge of pissing my pants and was getting yelled at. She calmed me down and told me I will get paid for my 6 hours and not get fired but that I could go home because I was bawling my eyes out and she thinks it was unfair the way my supervisor has been treating me lately.

the store manager is above the supervisor...so she needs to have a talk with your supervisor..she is not allowed to treat employees like that

wow thats terrible if any one gets fired it should be her, at least you finally got to go on your doing. i would of pissed right at my register on the floor. just to make a point, ( i did it in school) dont think i am nasty i just do what i gotta do when i gotta do it

I used to have a boss like that. He'd get totally pissy with me about bathroom breaks, even when I was pregnant!!  But what can u do, if u gotta go u gotta go!

Is the supervisor new? I work at a grocery store also & have been dealing with a newly promoted supervisor. She is on a MAJOR power trip! She is yelling at me like I don't know what I'm doing (I have been there for over 9 years & was an asst. manager before I stepped down to be home more with my baby). Sorry your having to deal with that, hope she starts treating you better!

I would have pee'd on my supervisor.  Honestly if I had to go that bad and she wouldn't let me...I would have left my customers too.  Ya gotta go ya gotta go
