"I keep my cell in the trunk"???????

So with this new pledge going around, apparently part of it is to keep your cell phone in your trunk?  Have we become a society with NO self restraint that we cannot just leave it on our purse???  Kind of defeats the purpose of even having it if you get into a bad accident and it is in the trunk!!!!  I keep mine in my purse on the drivers seat (if DH is not with me).

Sorry if I offend, I just think it is a little rediculous that you cant just have it in your purse or pocket and NOT take it out.  A cell phones PRIMARY use should be emergency!

we do not have a landline, so our cells are more than just "for emergency".   and my job is important.

Ya know, I heard something about the "cell phone in the trunk" thing the other day. I was thinking the exact same thing you just said! Can we not restrain ourselves enough to have it in the front seat with us?? I keep mine in my purse and never use it while driving.

I keep mine on the car charger (I forget to plug it in the house lol). If I kept mine in the trunk I would forget about it all the time and it would never be charged. Then that would defeat the purpose.

lol seriously? okay so what good is your phone going to be if it's in your trunk?? dumbass people don't think before they speak and they obviously didn't think before the suggested people leave phones in their trunk! mine will stay in the cupholder at all times and i don't care what kind of tickets i get or what! and also i haven't heard this new rule

oh, we're talking about using it while driving.  yea, i don't do that...LOL.  it's actually a little bit illegal here, not to mention just a stupid idea all around.

My cell phone sits in the console where I can get to it if I have to.  It serves no purpose in the trunk if there is an emergency and you needed to make a call.

I do not use my cell phone in my car.  I have enough respect for myself, my children and those around me to not put them in danger.  No ones job, appointment, gossip, etc..is more important than another persons life.  If you think it is then maybe motherhood was the wrong choice for you being that their life should be more important then your social calendar!

Me too. Like on Teen Moms where Amber got out of her car to get her purse out of the trunk to call her BF.. WTH? I get the whole not wanting people to talk and drive but that is a little much.
